About the event
The history of Salt Lake City can be weird, heartbreaking, and surprising. Join us to learn about the unseen history of our beautiful city by exploring the places and lives of everyday people at the turn of the last century. In this 2 hour leisurely walking tour we will explore the economic and racial diversity of our past. We will explore the old tenderloin district known as Victoria Alley, the demise of Salt Lake's Chinatown in Plum Alley, the Black American enclave along the old Franklin Avenue (now Edison Street), and talk about the interesting women who built part of the Jewish corridor of 300 South.
All told, 2 hours. We walk about 1 city block. ADA accessible.
